Does travelling solo to a place you love ever crossed your mind? If yes then my advice will be to pack your bags and start that trip. Initially that thought can be a little intimidating, but trust me if you go you’ll have the best trip of your life, but is solo travelling good?
Growing up, I always loved my own company than spending the time with others. By given a choice between going to a party with friends or rather sit in your house and watching shows on Netflix I would always choose watching Netflix, no matter which friends are going to be in that party. It’s hard for me to socialize with people. I like to do things alone and in my own pace doing activities with friends or family gave me no joy.
At the time when I was suffering from depression it became hard for me. I had to deal with my own problems Seeking support were no use. Needed a break from life thinking of taking a break a idea popped up on my head. I love to travel a lot, going to different new places gave me happiness that no other thing in this world could give. So why not travel alone? Travel to a destination when you like, how you like and where you like.

My first solo Trip:
I planned on a three-day trip to Munnar, a place in Kerala which is one of the best solo travel destinations in India. But choosing to travel solo was first overwhelming. I don’t know if it’s a good choice, I never booked a hotel to stay before and I’m bad at making choices. But as my brain started to fear for even simple things my heart wanted me to go.
So, without deciding what to do on the trip where to stay what places to visit I just packed the bags and left on my bike. The climate was good and the trip was great but had some issues as I not prepared and planned before taking off. So, if you’re planning to go on a solo trip follow these 10 best solo travelling tips:

Choosing a familiar place or a place which you have idea about is a better than choosing a random spot for your first solo trip. Choose a place where you already visited before so that it’s easy for you to plan for the activities to do and tourist attractions to visit there.
Plan your budget:
It is always good to plan the budget beforehand. Even if you planned the budget properly unplanned expenses may occur but planning the budget in advance will help you to tackle the unplanned expenses. Travel light:
Bring what you know you’ll need rather than what you think you need. Carry a small light weight backpack you’ll be glad as you want to carry that for your whole trip. Three pair of shirts 2 pair of pants 3 pairs of under wears are enough for a three-day trip.
Have a pair of sandals on the bag and a pair of shoes on your feet while travelling. Carry a toothbrush and a med kit with you. These are the things you should carry for your trip incase if you forget any of those or want to buy some additional stuffs you can always find a super market or a store to buy those.

Before booking a hotel room check on their reviews and ratings book a kind of hotel which has good review and a positive feedback, compare the prices of the hotel with the others you may find a good hotel which is cheaper than the other.
Look on their cancellation policies and check-in and check-out times. Choose a hotel which is near to the tourist spots and that is in the center of the city avoid isolated or separate hotels they may be not safe for you as you are travelling solo.
Back-up plan:
No matter how good your plan is things may always go south. It’s always a good idea to have a backup plan if things messed up.
